Buying Guide
Key purchase considerations for an iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Gen keyboard case include compatibility, keyboard type, and build quality. Ensure the case explicitly lists iPad Pro 12.9″ 2015 and 2017 models (A1670/A1671/A1584/A1652). Look for:
- Typing experience: Scissor-switch vs membrane keyboards; key travel and feedback influence comfort for long typing sessions.
- Battery life and charging: USB-C charging is common; check claimed hours of use and standby time to plan for travel.
- Protection: A sturdy polycarbonate shell with reinforced corners and a robust hinge helps protect against drops and daily wear.
- Viewing angles and versatility: Multi-angle stands and 360° rotation accommodate typing, sketching, reading, or watching.
- Extras: Pencil/Apple Pencil holder, auto wake/sleep, and magnetic detachability add convenience for on-the-go use.
Buying across brands like LENRICH, AMOUOGOEY, SENGBIRCH, FINTIE, and OYOSUOGG offers various balances of durability, aesthetics, and price. If you prioritize a built-in pencil holder, leather texture, or backlit keys, select accordingly. For writers and students who move between notes, sketches, and documents, a detachable keyboard with reliable Bluetooth and long battery life can maximize productivity without sacrificing portability.
